Year 5 - Food and Nutrition - Bolognese sauce

Throughout the day year 5 have been using different skills (bridge and claw, grating, chopping and pressing) to prepare ingredients for our bolognese sauce.
Over the last few weeks we have tried different sauces, looked at different recipes and nutritional values before creating our own ingredients list and nutritional tables.
After we had prepared the ingredients they were blended and cooked before being poured over pasta. Many of us tried it and enjoyed its flavours. We made so much that we shared it with Mr Fowler, Mrs Downward and Mrs Williams who all loved it too.
